Good day
Looks like the latest TB update is giving the gmail extension some
trouble. TB notified me that the latest update was available,
2.0.0.16. When it restarted, the gmail extension gave negative vibes
on sending password. It had been working fine up to that point so I'm
guessing there is something in the update that is incompatible. I am
running TB 2.0.0.16, webmail 1.3.3b3, gmail 0.6.0b11, and yahoo
1.4.0b06. The error console gives the following 2 messages:

HttpComms3.js: send : Exception : NS_ERROR_INVALID_POINTER.
Error message: Component returned failure code: 0x80004003
(NS_ERROR_INVALID_POINTER) [nsIIOService.newChannelFromURI]
342

nsGMailPOP.js: loginHandler : Exception : Error.
Error message: httpConnection returned false

I thank you kindly for all your work on these add-ons. They truly do
make my life easier.

Oops, I made a slight typo on the yahoo version, should have read
1.4.0b6.

No, I think the new update of Thunderbird has nothing to do with this
problem as I am still on the version 2.0.0.14 but I encounter the same
problem of "negative vibes". For sending, the password is endless
requested.
So, here we go like 2 weeks ago ! My log:

Good luck dear Webmail Author!

ioreker, whatever the problem is, it occurred when I updated TB. The
gmail add-on was functioning correctly, logging in, downloading and
sending of mail just prior to the update. Now granted that there may
have been some other change that may have occurred but the trigger was
with the TB update as I got the negative vibes when TB did the
restart. As with any negative vibe message, I always check the FILES
area to see if I'm running the latest version of all the webmail add-
ons. If there is a newer version of the webmail add-ons available,
I've found that installing the most recent versions has always solved
the negative vibes. In this case, I am on the most recent versions
hence the posting.

Hi, i've the same problem prior to update to TB 16 i think it's a
gmail add-on problem :)

Question is : why gmail add on doesn't release a new version ????

There's been a few string changes to the options panel and these need
to be translated, once I've updated the locals I'll release the new
version. The short answer is a few days.
