I have successfully (I think) installed ThinkUp app. I login and go to
the configuration screen:
http://skitch.com/kegill/d4yqa/configure-your-account

I have attempted to activate both Twitter and Facebook. In both cases,
I have successfully registered the application and secured the keys
required by the ThinkUp application configuration form. In both cases,
this is the error message that I get upon "submit"

"Sorry, but we are unable to process your request at this time."

I don't know what this means. Who is "we"? My instance of ThinkUp? My
MySQL database? What do I need to do to fix this?

TIA,

Kathy

Hey Kathy,

If you append this path and query string to your thinkup url while
logged in we should be able to get a better idea of why the config
save is failing.

account/plugin-options.php?
action=set_options&plugin_id=1&option_oauth_consumer_key=test1&option_oauth_consumer_secret=test&option_archive_limit=3200

ie:

http://example.com/thinkuppath/account/plugin-options.php?action=set_options&plugin_id=1&option_oauth_consumer_key=qq&option_oauth_consumer_secret=qq&option_archive_limit=3200

Please post the output here, and hopefully we can get an idea of why
its not working.

Thanks!

Thanks, Mark. Here you go:

{"status":"success","results":{"updated":3,"inserted":
{"oauth_consumer_key":"1","oauth__consumer_secret":"2","archive_limit":"3"},"deleted":
0}}

However, ThinkUp says I have no accounts configured:
http://skitch.com/kegill/d4ss4/thinkup

Once again, I tried to register the Twitter account. This time it
"took". I did nothing different! In fact, I copied and pasted from the
form that had failed.

When I went through OpenAuth steps - this is what ThinkUp returned:
http://skitch.com/kegill/d4ssh/authorizing-your-twitter-account-thinkup

I now have a working (with no data) dashboard: http://kegill.com/thinkup/?u=kegill

SO I did the same with FB - I copied and pasted from the form that was
not working into a new form. It, too, saved this time.

What changed? The only thing different was I ran your script first.

I'm a little confused by the FB widget. It does not seem to be
crawling my content, only that associated with the FB created that is
my home town. ?

Hey Kathy,

kinda strange. not sure why it was failing the first time. the results you sent are exactly what u should see.

so it now seems you have what u need to start crawling twitter.

Not quite:

When I try to run the crawler: http://kegill.com/thinkup/crawler/run.php

Warning: exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /nfs/c06/h02/
mnt/89536/domains/kegill.com/html/thinkup/_lib/controller/
class.CrawlerWebController.php on line 43

That shouldn't matter. This is just a warning, and shouldn't stop the
Crawler from running.
We already have an issue open to stop that warning from showing.

If the crawler doesn't show anything, even if you leave it open for a
while, you might want to enable the crawler log in your config file
(make sure the file will be writable by your web server), and see what
appears in there when you display the crawler page again.
