scheme for resolving delta's

I'm using the datetime delta and thinking_sphinx:index:delta rake task
for updating the search index. The rake task is run every 2 minutes
from cron and all is well =) Thanks guys for all your effort.

It's my understanding that from this article (http://freelancing-
gods.com/posts/thinking_sphinx_delta_changes) running the index:delta
task pushes changes to the index. This is confirmed when searching for
new content after the cron task runs.

Is this all that is required or does the thinking_sphinx:index task
need to run at some point?

Hi Adam

I'd still recommend running thinking_sphinx:index regularly (once a
day, maybe?) - while the delta approach should work fine, if for some
reason it's not run every two minutes for a little bit, then
potentially there are changes that will get missed.
