I live in Utah so the cold is a problem. I want to insulate my garage
one day which might help. People at work want me to set it up there,
I guess I should be pleased that I've managed to fake it so well so

You can always enclose the sides of your replicator to help trap in the heat as it convects upward. If you're printing with PLA, and I'm a big fan of PLA, chances are good you won't have significant problems with the cold of your garage... depending on where you live.
