Here's the thing about these contests - they spark interest in the  
community from people outside it, they also give motivation for people who  
have never designed before to try and when the point is to design crap the  
people aren't as worried about the quality of what they can do being low,  
additionally good ideas are often inspired by bad ones. These things are  
objects of the imagination. If it's too much trouble for someone to look  
through a few hundred things a week then how would they have time to print  
something if only thirty things were added a week. I do wish there was some  
sort of moniter to make sure things were tagged correctly but it hasn't  
reached that level yet. Thingiverse currently has just over 6k things right  
now and is what 3&1/2 years old? Thats only about 6 new things a day. The  
whole idea is open source-it's for everybody-why complain when more people  
get involved?
