Subject: Notifications on Thingiverse?

Yo dudes.

Is there a notification system in place on Thingiverse? Is there any way to
get an email, or have some indication on your Thingiverse profile page that
lets me know if someone replied to a comment I made on someone else's
Thing? Yadda ya? Ya?

Thingiverse uses Echo for comments. It's an external system that doesn't integrate with your thingiverse profile settings, but when you make a comment, there's a "follow" link at the bottom that you can use to sign up for email notifications or subscribe via RSS.

Have you guys noticed the new UI for navigating categories on

http://www.thingiverse.com/categories

They're not promoting it yet, but (IMO) it's quite nice for helping new visitors find things.

It was on the makerbot blog. They're managed to categorize some things automatically, but you should all go through your Things and properly categorize everything.

This is great, makes Thingiverse much more usable when not just looking for
random.
