Happy Summer Everyone!
We hope this finds you out enjoying the long days of summer:) Please
note that THE STUDIO IS CLOSED FOR JULY 1ST, all classes are cancelled
on that day. Classes will run as usual for the rest of the holiday
weekend.
There are a number of upcoming events noted below and also a new
summer schedule posted on the website. Of note, we have a NEW weekly
Sunday morning outdoor yoga class happening at Rose Park (across from
the adventure centre) and also some of our evening classes are
slightly longer now. (Note: Outdoor yoga class will be at the studio
if it is raining:)
As for events: (more information on the website for everything noted
below:)
1. Martin and Charlotte will be teaching a 3-part series on
therapeutic partner yoga. June 25th, July 16th and August 20th.
$25 for one session or $60 for all three dates. Come alone or with a
partner, no experience necessary.
Breathing together: through trust, compassion and creativity.
2. July 8th Friday Evening 5:30pm class with Chris will be a
fundraiser for Kirsten Walter’s journey to Peru with the Patch Adams
Organization. Each year Patch Adams calls upon volunteers from around
the world to travel to various countries providing support to those in
need. Patch is known as the “clown who cares” and along with his
volunteer clowns, he engages with the humans behind the diseases and
problems. He connects with people in a joyful, supportive and caring
way. The Yoga Studio will donate $5 per person who attends for this
cause. Please come join us!
3. Lydia and Sarah will be teaching a weekend intensive, "The Art of
Yoga', from July 22-24. An opportunity to go deeper into this
practice and share some silence and movement together. Limited to 12
people, registration and payment in advance. 7 spots left.
4. Full Moon Meditation by donation : Friday July 15th with Lydia
after the Level 2 class at 7:30pm.
5.Thursday August 4th, 6 - 8:30 pm - Deep Hip Opening Workshop with
Guest teachers, Ron Reid and Marla Meenakshi. Join two senior
teachers from Toronto to explore safe ways to open your hips and
increase overall range of motion in the biggest joint of the body.

For those of you interested, I (Sarah) am continuing to spend time in
Ontario with my family and will remain here through the remainder of,
my son, Finn's short life. I have updated our studio BLOG

through this difficult time. Please know that I appreciate all the
emails and endless metta support. And, I send my love to the whole
Squamish community.
