Hello from deep within the clouds!

Time seems to have that blurry sense in the winter. Some days turn to
night before daylight even arrives. The forest is damp, misty and
empty of people. And, it is strangely dry, even when the sky is
falling from above. There is the deep seeded sense of rejuvenation,
hibernation and space.

I find myself writing you all to say hello and to let you know some of
the cozy happenings in the yellow room over the next couple of
months. Know that the heat is on and that the yellow room will be
running a full schedule through the winter months. I, Sarah, am
teaching lots (all days except Thursday and Sunday) and, we are very
happy to have Christine back, as she has returned from a month on the
road with her beautiful family. She will return to teaching her
Sunday evening Yin class and the Monday noon class. A big thanks to
Annie for all her hard work over the passed month while Lydia and I
were away on retreat on Salt Spring Island. The December Schedule is
now posted on the website with teachers' names.

9. For those that are interested, The Yoga Studio Squamish recently
joined Facebook. If you so desire, feel free to check out our page.
Lydia has shared some beautiful photos of her honeymoon in California
and we intend to share quotes, poetry, photos and workshop information
through that forum.

As I write, Lydia is delving into a simple life on the road with her
husband Sonnie. She has written me of her humbling visit with the
oldest trees in the world - the bristlecone pines. She also told me of
a beautiful moment sharing the tensegrity series with a few women she
just met, and the feeling of connecting through silence and simple
supportive movements. Lydia's open hearted gift of sharing at the
studio while I was away during Finn's life was so much from a place of
love and it brings a smile to my face knowing that she is able to take
some time away this winter. Feel free to email her through the yoga
studio anytime, she loves hearing from everyone in this community.

enjoy the puddles, we hope to see you all very soon in the yellow
room.

PS
Hello All. This is Lydia, and I wanted to express that I miss all the
faces and love from the yellow room and our Squamish community. Thanks
to Sarah for keeping me feeling immersed and connected. I continually
realize what a gift we have to practice together. I am enjoying
sharing yoga with new friends, practicing in the wildness, vistas and
open space of one of the deepest valleys on earth - The Owens Valley.
Here I have been enjoying slow time... lots of poetry...

Here is a poem from Basho... even though he wrote this in the
seventeenth century, it is incredible how the this feeling is
timeless.

Not knowing
The name of the tree,
I stood in the flood
Of its sweet smell.
