Just got my schedule of events for the Ala Phoenix Festival next weekend. This looks really great. And the organizers are as cool and helpful as any I've ever worked with.

I hope we get a big turnout and I hope those of you in the general Birmingham area will be able to come.

4-6 pm - Book signing - Little Professor Bookstore, Homewood

Friday:

3:30 - Marvelous Movies

Van Plexico and David Duncan lay out the timeline and history of events for you as they run in the Marvel Movie Universe and look at the potential of the post-Avengers Marvel movie line!

6:30 - Books to Film

10:00 AM – Hero Smackdown

4:00 PM - The Bloody Pulps

Pulp fiction, old and new.

5:30 PM - Avengers Assembled!

Larry Hama, Van Plexico, Joe Crowe, and others as they share insider gossip and hard news on all things Avengers!

7:00 PM - Dead Authors' Society

What would Poe say about Twilight? Would Shakespeare want to make alterations to Game of Thrones? In one of the more unique panels ever, sit in as modern authors channel the greats of old!

1:00 PM - Marvel v. DC JEOPARDY with Van Allen Plexico!
