Impact Comics The Fly

I recently got the (almost I'm missing two issues) full run of Impact
Comics The Fly. It's a really fun run and I really enjoyed it! Better
yet I got the run for 25 cents an issue. Does anyone else enjoy this
series?

Fantastic series!  Loved it!  Mike Parobeck doing a fun, Spider-Man-like comic!  Does it get any better than that?!?!?

I also used to get The Jaguar and The Comet.  If you liked the Fly, try the Comet also.

I have heard really good things about the Impact! Shield as well.

Since I swallowed the hook on the "Red Circle" from DC, the Impact!
books have gone on my "active search" list.

Back around 1996/1997 I bought the entire Impact line at a really good price.  A comic shop was going out of business and at one point they went down to $50 for a longbox.  I bought the books on a lark (and only had to pay full price for the IMPACT WINTER SPECIAL) and I was very surprised by how much I enjoyed them.  They're solidly written books skewed a little younger but older readers can read and enjoy them as well.

 

My favorites were THE FLY, COMET and LEGEND OF THE SHIELD.  Some of the other series are not as good, such as THE WEB, but on the whole I would recommend the line to anyone that likes a good, old fashioned super-hero universe.

I really enjoyed the X Men 2099. That and Spider Man 2099 were my favorites. I enjoyed the Doom 2099 title, but it wasn't consistant. The Stan Lee written Ravage was awful, sadly. I didn't read more than one issue of the rest of the titles, so I can't say much about them.

Doom 2099 and X-Men 2099 were also good.  The Ravage, Hulk, Ghost Rider, and Fantastic Four 2099 books were terrible.

Spider-Man 2099 was definitely the best of the bunch.  I also enjoyed Doom 2099, but as Cary said it wasn't consistent.  I believe I enjoyed Punisher 2099 some, but don't recall exactly.

Ravage 2099 was completely unreadable.

Cary, this is exactly how I feel about the Red Circle books over at
DC. The Shield and The Web were two terrific books, which just did
not get enough attention.
