Welcome to the SHOUT FILM + MEDIA email subscription list. This list is for notices and news about filmmaking and video/digital media activity in Eastern Canada, for film-related folks located in, or interested in, the region.

What to post:

- Film or media screenings, presentations, lectures, etc. Your own, your centre's, company's, or other suitable events.

- News and events at your centre, company, project, etc. Awards, festival acceptances, wrap parties, shoot dates, open houses, new staff, your centre/company has a new resource, etc... 

- Workshops & professional development opportunities, pro to entry level.

- Jobs offered; paid or unpaid career advancement opportunities for crew, collaborators, actors, etc...

- Talent or services offered; let people know what you can do and how to find you.

- Festival calls for submissions, deadlines, event dates.

- Etc

Please - no notices from websites fishing for free media content under the guise of "distributors" or "festivals." Real distributors and festivals are welcome to post of course. If you are asking for submissions, please state benefits and terms for the creator of the work clearly or post will be cut.

How to use this list:

- add the group email (theshout@googlegroups.com) to your address book and the group of contacts you routinely send PSAs to. The email title is the post title, and the email body is the post body, so it works out fine. Just send along with your regular PSAs.

- add the group email (theshout@googlegroups.com) to your address book and you can send a post without having to look up the address or log on to the Google website.

- or you can log on to the Google website where you are right now, and post using the web form "+ new post" below...
