Subject: openlayers thematic maps
Hi,

I would like to edit thematic map via openlayers like you did in some
exemples : http://thematicmapping.org/openlayers/choropleth_geojson.php
I know mapfish do the same but i would like to generate the map
automatically (without letting the users able to change some
parameters as in mapfish) and i want to understand the process by my
own.

Your engine can generate geostat .KML files that i can insert in my
openlayers map with the obect layer.KML, that the first point correct
me if i'm wrong.
bu you also mentionned geoJSon and regarding to the sources, you just
have to call a GML layer from ../data/json/
internet_users_2005_choropleth_lowres.json

How do you generate this json file ?
and how this point interact with your engine.

Thks for help

Flo

Hi Flo,

If you want to edit thematic maps via OpenLayers, I would rather use
MapFish (or GeoExt) rather than the Thematic Mapping Engine (TME). It
is true that KML files generated by the TME can be loaded by
OpenLayers, but I only think choropleth maps will be properly
displayed. GeoJSON is not supported by TME at this stage.
