Laser graf writing: I've got the software up and running on my win7 partition but am unable to really test it at the moment because I don't have a projector at my house. I'll try it out tomorrow night at the Hive open house.

Kinect stuff:  I have this software (http://vimeo.com/17966780) up and running on my linux partition, which may be a base for one of our intended projects. Maybe, maybe not. Also, I found this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWgFKFuaLrA), which is almost exactly what I was envisioning. We'd probably have to write this from scratch.

Awesome work PJ!

Just wanted to post the piece Technically Philly wrote about the
hackathon - especially featuring Tim (too bad they don't know how to
spell Hacktory either though...)

Hi guys,
Just checking if we are meeting tonight... and if we are if we would
want to move it to tomorrow night because tonight is the Philly Game
Lab meetup at Barcade. Anyone else interested?
http://gamescene2.eventbrite.com/

(Sorry for the late notice, I thought it was tomorrow and they just
sent out the reminder this morning)

I have a board meeting for hive76 tomorrow at 7 but could probably join up afterwards.

I'm also free this evening if we wanted to meet up for PAFA or do the philly game labs jawn.

I have a full week and could stand to take tonight off. I'll send some
updates about invisible ink today or early this week.

I'm fine with it being not tonight.

Fine with me. I think I came up with a decent display idea. I'll elaborate later tonight.

So I'm thinking of making a parabolic microphone hooked up to an RGB LED array. I like the idea of an audio/visual interaction. The user would stand a far distance away and speak at a normal tone. The parabolic mic will pick up the audio and display a rainbow of colors in response. The LEDs can shoot up at a blank canvas or be contained in diffused globes (really, any configuration).

The software I use for this has a built-in VU meter feature that I can program to do whatever I want (color, intensity, audio input sensitivity).

Ideas and criticism welcome!

Hey there,
Are we meeting tonight? I'll plan on stopping by Hive at 7 to check.

I was wondering that as well. I'll be there before 7 regardless.

Sadly I can't make it tonight, but I plan to be at Soft Circuit Saturday so perhaps I can catch up then.

Ok in that case I would prefer to just stay home and work on the
processing. I've made a little progress but not a lot. I'd be willing
to work on this project some more before or after Soft Circuit day on
Saturday if others are interested.
