Dear Bloggers,

I write to you on behalf of WACOM, world's leading manufacturer of pen
tablets, interactive pen displays, and digital interface solutions. I
have been following your blog regularly and would like to share some
information on the new product WACOM is launching in India.

WACOM is launching the first interactive tablet that merges multi-
touch functionality with pen tablet technology in a single device.
Based on current consumer trends and the introduction of popular touch
devices such as the Apple iPhone, Bamboo provides a simple and
spontaneous way of using your computer. Operating it is as easy as a
touch (finger-based input), or a stroke of our digital pen.

Bloggers across the globe have given a positive feedback and we would
like to invite you for the product launch and press conference
scheduled on 7th October, 2009 at Le Meridien, Delhi. At the same
time, we would request your presence for an one on one interaction
with Glenn Tsunekawa, Marketing Manager for Asia Pacific right after
the press conference specially for bloggers.

Those interested can reach out to the following people for further

Why dont people have these launch events on weekends? Most of the bloggers here are not full time bloggers. So we have offices on weekdays to earn our bread. Companies please be empathetic to bloggers!

This is the fifth invite in 10 days that i have to say no to :(

Gerard,

It really isn't a case of being disappointed, but one of disconnection
and apathy.

If a corporate is conducting an event and would like coverage or
content to show up in blogs, they need to conduct events in a manner
that is friendly to the target audience and achieves set goals too.

Of course, if all organisations wish to do is to create the perception
that they're 'blogger friendly' and 'leverage the latest social
development on the web to propagate brands and information', it will
be a short lived perception if events continue to be conducted in this
manner.

I understand everyone has constraints, including organisations,
however nothing is impossible. Wouldn't you agree?

Sid

Yeah!

It is high time that the companies realize that bloggers are an
important part of social media!
