Dear Friends and Colleagues:

Have you put into effect all those great resolutions you made for
2005? Well, one of my resolutions was to find a way to keep in better
touch with each of you. I decided to try a short on-line newsletter.
Everyone on this list has either done business with The Writer's
Place, signed our guest book, contacted us for information about our
products and services, or gave me, Diana Kirk, your e-mail address in
some context that suggested you might be interested.

By the way, if you'd prefer we didn't keep in touch, there is
information at the bottom on how to remove yourself. An HTML version
of this newsletter is attached with clickable links.

If you haven't visited The Writer's Place at
http://thewritersplace.com in a while, you will be in for a surprise.
We've reorganized it and would love to hear what you think. There's
an "Email Us" link where you can give feedback, comments,
suggestions, and ask questions. You can also send your comments and
questions by replying to this newsletter.

We've finished reorganizing The Write Stuff (see
http://thewritersplace.com/writestuff/index.php). Most of the basic
content is up, including articles on available fellowships for
writers, upcoming writing contests and conferences, and securing
one's personal computer to keep intruders out. There is a lot of
content remaining to be added, and I think it will be easier with our
new format. Let us know what you think.

Finally, don't miss the stories in this issue about the change in our
contact information, the availability of B. Mary Dickman's book, and
a feature of our newsletter to plug books we've worked on that have
been published.

Thanks for your interest in the past. I look forward to working with
you again soon. Call me at 1-650-278-1278.

Sincerely,

Diana Kirk

*B. Mary Dickman's "Money Dearest" Is Available
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------
We are delighted to announce the publication of B. Mary Dickman's book
"Money Dearest: After the Tooth Fairy." Ms. Dickman decided to
publish through an on-line print-on-demand publisher, Trafford
Publishing. In addition to editing and designing the book block, The
Writer's Place also designed and hosts her book's web site,
MoneyDearest.com (http://moneydearest.com/index.php).

This charming little book takes the novice investor through the basics
and instills the three things everyone needs for success in the stock
market: the habit of saving money (not spending it), an understanding
of stock market fundamentals, and patience. And, it's fun to read.

This is the perfect gift for the young people in your life. Good
financial habits don't just happen; they are learned.

*Published Books of Our Customers
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------
Quite a few of you have published the book or books we've worked on
with you. Send us your book's information and how it can be obtained.
We would love to feature it in an upcoming newsletter.

*How To Subscribe To/Unsubscribe From This Newsletter
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------
You are receiving this newsletter through Google Groups. Although the
Google Groups invitation/notification made it sound as though you
needed a Google account to receive the newsletter, you don't.
However, the subscription page can only be accessed with a Google
account. So I'm including information for those of you with an
account and for those without. We would be sorry to lose you, but we
understand that some people like contact only when they want to make
it.

For those with a Google account, you can go on-line at:

http://groups-beta.google.com/group/The-Writers-Place/subscribe

Along with the ability to change the details of your subscription to
the newsletter, there is a button to unsubscribe yourself. If you
don't have a Google account, you can do these things via e-mail. To
unsubscribe, send a message to:

The-Writers-Place-unsubscribe@googlegroups.com

You can also e-mail me with your requests at: diank...@gmail.com
