Our Guest Speaker on Wed Sept 9 will be Beatrice Bellino, a script supervisor with numerous credits. After completing the MFA program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Beatrice taught film history classes, programmed screenings, was a negative cutter, and did the festival circuit with her own short films. She left Chicago and passed through Austin for one night, which turned into years. Now, as a highly experienced script supervisor, she considers her role “a beautiful process to be a part of” because as such she “has a front seat to many of the details, much of the psychology, and some of the choices that help form the poetry or practicality of the story.” Her credits confirm her expertise in this area. Join us on Wed Sept 9 and learn from a seasoned pro what a script supervisor does and how it affects the entire filmmaking process.
The Network Austin Mixer meets on the second and last Wednesdays of each month. The Mixers are open to those involved with or interested in film, media, acting, writing, producing, etc. There is no membership required to attend The Network Austin Mixers and no cover charge.
