Sandra and
Dwight Adair as our Guest
Speakers at the
Wednesday Aug 12th Mixer. Both Dwight and Sandra
have credits spanning decades.
Dwight is credited on imdb as Director, Producer, Cinematographer,
Writer, Editor, Dialogue Coach, and Technical Advisor. He has worked on
feature films and prime time television. He has also written, directed
and/or produced documentaries, numerous television commercials,
infomercials, corporate image pieces, promotional and training videos.
Dwight is most proficient at wrapping his mind around large concepts,
writing a cohesive, compelling script, and efficiently
directing/producing an end product that serves the needs of the client
while commanding the strong interest of the intended viewer.
Sandra Adair's work includes feature films, documentaries, PBS specials,
television series and most recently digital films. Working as an
assistant editor to some of Hollywood’s top editors in the early 1970’s,
Sandra learned the principles of postproduction. She started editing
small low budget films in the mid 1980’s and in 1990 she served as second
editor on Paramount Pictures' “Internal Affairs,” directed by Mike
Figgis. Sandra moved with her husband and two children to Austin, Texas
in 1991 and has continued to work on both feature films and
documentaries, teaming with documentarian Hector Galan on the
award-winning “The Hunt for Pancho Villa" and “Songs of the
Homeland. Her most active alliance in Austin has been with director
Richard Linklater, for whom she has edited twelve films: Dazed and
Confused, Before Sunrise, subUrbia, The Newton Boys, Waking Life, Tape,
School of Rock, Before Sunset, A Scanner Darkly, the remake of The Bad
News Bears, Fast Food Nation, and Me and Orson Welles.
Sandra and Dwight are two very talented, hardworking, and
highly-experienced pros in the world of filmmaking, so join us on
Wednesday August 12 and benefit from their fascinating
insights!
