We are honored to have Barry Pineo as our Guest Speaker on Wednesday August 26. Barry is an actor, director, teacher, and author, based in Austin for twenty years now. He received a BA in Theatre from the University of Maine, and his MFA from the University of Texas at Austin. He is the founder and leader of the Austin Acting Workshop and has directed shows as diverse as Shopping and F***ing, and Oklahoma! Barry’s productions have appeared in numerous Austin venues including St. Edwards University, the Blue Theatre, and Capitol City Playhouse. Barry will offer some profound insights into the theatre, the solid and practical principles of acting, the actual lexicon it involves, and how these affect storytelling. So join us at Mother Egan’s Irish Pub on Wednesday August 26, learn from a pro and network!
