We are deeply grateful to Bob Hudgins (Texas Film Commission) for
updating us about what needs to be done in the upcoming legislative
session to keep the Texas film incentive package alive and growing.
The Texas Motion Picture Alliance (TXMPA -- www.txmpa.org) and Bob's
leadership have been critical in getting the incentive package passed,
but we face another hurdle: getting it passed again and hopefully with
greater incentives. Get involved and help keep this industry alive in
Texas. We snooze, we lose!
Our guest speaker at our Wednesday July 30 Mixer will be Todd
McMullen. Todd has numerous credits and he has offered to update us on
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS and his role as a cinematographer in the series
and in other past projects. Todd has a wealth of information about all
aspect of filmmaking and has worked with actors, producers and
directors of every kind. You do not want to miss this Mixer. The
American Statesman is doing an article on THE NETWORK AUSTIN MIXER and
they will have a crew out on Wed July 30 to cover this Mixer - so
