Hi,

I'm a new Lift/Scala programmer. I would like to use OpenID in my
application.
However, it may sound silly, I am not able to compile my program if I
import OpenID classes from either of the packages below:

net.liftweb.openid (as per the API documentation on the lift website)
net.liftweb.openId (as per the PDF version of the online book)

Looks like the wiki pages are not up to date with lift 1.0. I saw some
descrepancy with that also.
Now related question is what is the reliable documentation for using
lift 1.0? My productive time is spent too much
in trying out various names or ways for invoking Lift calls.

/Users/jaya/web/try-lift/openid/src/main/scala/your/proj/gid/snippet/
OpenID.scala:2: error: value openid is not a member of package
net.liftweb
[INFO] import net.liftweb.openid.SimpleOpenIdVendor
[INFO] ^

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks,
Jaya

After a much long web search, I finally found a solution here.

http://www.mvnbrowser.com/artifact-details.html?groupId=net.liftweb&artifactId=lift-openid&version=1.1-M7&tab=FILES

It would have been a time saver if the book had a small note about it.

Thanks,
Jaya

Those are breaking changes made after the book was written, the best
they can do now is put it in the ebook.
