Hi All,

In the next few months we're going to be looking at preparing 2 installations of The Fascinator -  one for demo purpose and another for systems testing (off the back of Hudson). I thought I'd pass around an article about Maven deployment to TCat (an enterprisey Tomcat): http://www.theserverside.com/news/thread.tss?thread_id=58776. The software is free for development use.

Basically, we need to setup our testing environment so that we can compile Fascinator builds and deploy them to a test site that then harvests test data.

Could you have a look at the article above and get back to the list with ideas on the TCat setup or any other solution you may have?

Cheers,

Duncan

Had a quick look at the TCat server. From what I can see, most of the
things it does can be done with standard Tomcat/Maven plugins,
although TCat wraps it up in a pretty interface. I think we should try
with the standard tools first and if we find it lacking, then we look
at TCat.

Cheers
Oliver
