 Played with the full band yesterday and could really REALLY hear the difference in tone, tightness, articulation, buttery sustain...meow meow meow ..... Geez, that sounds pretty  DAMN GOOD, not just my usual; I can live with that it doesn't suck too bad...... 

I was playing through a single GK 12" and sending a signal to my powered sub via the efx loop; basically I unplugged the GK 112 head itself out of the combo and substituted the Eden in the loop. It was a good test because I am used to hearing that combo of speakers in that room with those basses (Zon, SX, Harmony, Dano), so it was easy to hear the differences.

But it's a cheesy-looking set up, not to mention the 12" isn't up to that kind of ampage....

Go ahead, disparage me for my nonchalance: Today I'm sending the man out to GC to pick up a 4-ohm 2x10, any "good" 2x10 of the brands that are discussed here with respect. If i like it I'll keep it. If I don't, Well hey, gotta love their return policy. I'll keep my powered sub for the low end for now, cuz if i can't feel it in my metatarsals, it's not really bass. :)

I can't deal with music stores, my brain doesn't know what to pay attention to. Long shopping and comparing expeditions are just not gonna happen.

Cuz there's a gig next weekend, that's why. bwahahahaha............ Don't think my wireless will arrive be then (hi Dave!) but hey, I have a new hat.
