Hello,

I am a science teacher interested in starting a robotics program at my school. I teach 8th graders. I know nothing about robotics and would like to learn more about the costs and logistics involved. I am wondering if it’s worth it to attend the kickoff on September 4th? Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

Julie Morris

Julie, Did you go to the houston vex website?  They can get you started on teams.  They should be able to find you a mentor who will help you with programming.  VEX is a good robotics program to do with students.  It is easy to understand and build.    My role in the Austin VEX world is Mom and I can sit down with a group of students and get them working on a simple drive train.

Houston has good resources, so please check out that website and and go to the contact page and start a conversation.

Good Luck!
