I have been encountering problems with click_no_wait in Testwise 2.0 IDE.

What I have been trying to do is click a button which then triggers a javascript popup. With Watir 2 there is a function "javascript_dialog.click" which will close the popup however one pleases. I have tested out both click_no_wait and the javascript_dialog.click function outside of the IDE and it works perfectly but when in Testwise it doesn't. I try click_no_wait on the button but the button is never pressed. When it is executed it briefly brings up the command prompt and quickly closes and only highlights the button but it is never clicked. Is there a way to fix this problem?

I have tried creating a new project with a simple test to see if there was something in my code that was a problem but it wasn't working with the new project.

I know there is an execution monitor that can get around this but our company rather not go about it that way.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, you explained the problem very well.

Yes, this is a known issue in TestWise 2, we are working on it. There
is a workaround: reinstall TestWise, set Destination Folder to a path
without space characters. Default is C:\Program Files\TestWise, you
can set to, for example, c:\testing\TestWise.

Hi,

I'm glad I could be thorough enough to explain the problem I was encountering. I changed the directory in which TestWise resides and that did the trick. I appreciate the timely solution.

Thanks,

Hi,

Just let you know this issue (JavaScript popup in TestWise) is fixed
in v2.1, which now you can download at
http://testwisely.com/en/testwise/downloads

Cheers,
Zhimin
