Not able to use it

I have downloaded and built the tool using the instruction in the
Release Notes
Instructions ----------------------------------------------
Building Tesseract:
Windows:
Unpack the tar.gz archive
Open tesseract.dsw in DevStudio (preferably version 6, higher versions
will be more difficult)
Set Win32 - Release as the active configuration.
Build.
Copy tesseract.exe from bin.rel up one directory level.
Run tesseract phototest.tif phototest
This will create phototest.txt.

but not able to run it
The log says

read_variables_file:Can't open "/tesseract-2.03/tessdata/configs/Tool
\tesseract-2.03\phototest" Unable to load unicharset file "/
tesseract-2.03/tessdata/eng.unicharset
========================
Do I need to follow some more steps. Please help me out

You probably need some language data. Check the downloads page again
for this.
Once you've unzipped your language, there should be a directory called
"tessdata" under which you will see files with file extensions like
"DangAmbigs, inttemp, pffmtable, etc..."

This "tessdata" directory would be located here (in the same sub
directory as tesseract.exe):
\tesseract-2.03\tessdata

All languages you download, or create, will be placed in that
directory.
