Thank you for this wonderful terminal, the only i found in years with the "find" function !!!

Anyway My very preferred terminal is 'stjerm' because of his great customizability:
tabs were you want: vertically on the left in my case (and only progressively numbered - to gain space)
single key hide/show (also known as 'quake terminal mode'): when i press f12 my terminal appears and disappears
quite fast (gtk+ and libvte)
bold characters are also differently colored (very good in man pages)
borderless and without toolbars: no space wasted.
configurable startup position and dimensions

Terminator is a very good terminal, plenty of exclusive great features; but i really miss these features, and i think these are good (and maybe costless) ideas to improve it.

another good feature Terminator miss (found in debian-distribuited 'terminator' :) ) is the ability to split the window: very useful to quickly compare files.

Find is, indeed, awesome.

Sadly, we're more in need of people with the time to implement ideas than the ideas themselves, though it was interesting to hear them, thanks. Terminator is relatively easy to customize, just at the source level. Someone new to the group recently implemented support for 24 bit color. We'd certainly consider similarly sane patches.
