Assign a variable to a partner link with the bpmn designer

Hi Community,
i'm using the last version (6.0) of the tempo designer,
and i'm interested about assigning a variable to a partnerLink.
The designer doesn't offers this possibilty, and only allows users
to assign variables to variables, by using the mapper view.
Is there anything i can do ?
I'm helping myself, by editing the generated bpel code before the
deployment, but this solution i not satisfying for me.
