Contactsని "పరిచయాలు" అంటే బాగుంటుందనుకుంటా.

అనువదించిన వాటిని చూస్తే ఒకచోట మాత్రం ఎవరో "పరిచయాలు" అని వ్రాసారు.
మిగతావన్నీ కూడా "సంపర్కాలు" అని ఉన్నాయి. వాటిని కూడా సరిదిద్దాలి.

For contacts 'Chirunamalu' appears a near and better word. While we click on contacts what we are getting are nothing but e-mail addresses and some other info.

కాంటాక్ట్స్‌ను చిరునామాలుగా మారిస్తే, మరి అడ్రస్‌ని ఏమనాలి. నా వరకు పరిచయాలే కరక్టనిపిస్తోంది. నేను చేసిన కొన్ని ట్రాన్స్‌లేషన్స్‌లో పరిచయాలు, పరిచయాల జాబితా అని వాడాను ... చాలా కాలం క్రితం!

ఒక్కో పదానికి ఎన్నో అర్థాలు ఉంటాయని మనకు తెలియంది కాదు. సందర్భానుసారం పదాన్ని ఎంచుకోవాలి.

పరిచయం అంటే ఇంట్రొడక్షను అనే అర్థం వస్తుంది. అలానే తమరి పరిచయం? అని అడుగుతూ ఉంటారు..
అలానే కాంటాక్టు పర్సను అంటే సంప్రదించవలసిన వారు అని సందర్భానుసారం వస్తుంది.
సంప్రదించడం అనేది తీసుకోండి.. నెగోషియేషన్సు ను సంప్రదింపులు, చర్చలు అని అంటాం.

 

నిజానికి కాంటాక్టుకు దగ్గరగా ఉన్నమాట సంపర్కం అని అనుకుంటున్నాను. కానీ వాడుకలో అంతగా లేని మాట. ఉన్నా.. అది వేరే సందర్భంలో వాడటం జరుగుతూ ఉంది.

 

ఈ సందర్భానికి పరిచయమే సరైనదేమో!

పరిచయాలు should be the right word. Because, most of the mail systems use "Contacts" term to define only known addresses. Not every mailer becomes a contact in your address book. You should have atleast one To-and-From mail communication with a person to have that id added as a contact automatically.

contact (noun) (5th sense)
a person that you know, especially sb who can be helpful to you in your work
Examples:
social / personal contacts
I've made some useful contacts in journalism.

So, in this context, parichayaalu is opt.

anni chotlaa, "Contacts" word ni mana daggara unna "mail id" artham vachchela use chestaru.

so, y donu u guys use a word which means" the ids which we've in that folder/page/..."

one suggestion, dont go strictly by dictionary or literature. use common sense. jus b'cos the person who's written the code used" contacts" (any other word, for that matter)we dont need to use the exact translation. manam denini point cheyya lanu kuntu nnamo, daaniki sari pada word use cheyyandi.

Y not u throw up some words that mean it? Well, that's what we are
figuring out here.

Dictionaries document the common sense. Using them as a reference is no harm.

That's what we are trying to do here: select a word that conveys the
meaning that most can understand without any trouble.
