hi
I am S Rahimanuddin B.Tech final yr from JNTU CE Pulivendula.
I am interested in taking up encryption in telugu as my final year
project.
I need guidance and help of all the members in the group.
I need resources for my project like editor, etc.
need to create a GUI that takes in text in telugu from the user and
does encryption and decryption as we do normally with normal english
text as in case of gpg, des or any other algorithm, the challenges are
-to device a good telugu editor
-to convert telugu text into unicode stream
-this byte stream is to be further divided into bits
-then encryption to be applied
-and decryption
-then converting back byte stream to telugu text
these are the tasks to be done

with regards
Rahimanuddin S

Hi,

This is two step approach.
Step 1: Editing files in Telugu. (We have Lekhini, Baraha, Google transliteration and other editors)
Step 2: Encrypt / Decrypt the text. (We have plenty of open source projects to do from http://sourceforge.net/)

First of all we can apply cryptography on any set of bytes.
Here language doesn't matter.

Encryption and Decryption are well developed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptography

Telugu, Unicode, java example is here.
http://polimetla.com/2009/07/21/java-swing-telugu/

I didn't see the importance of combining two well developed projects/subjects into one project.

Please mail me directly if you have any questions.

Thank you,
