To give an example where multiple interpretations are possible, I
will post my understanding about the story అస్తిత్వానికి అటూ ఇటూ by
SrI. Narendra. This post is just late by two years :-) I wanted to
write this after reading reviews by well regarded people like Smt.
Savitri Machiraju, Sri. KVS and others on the same story. My take on
this story was totally different. But never dared to post it. Now
that the discussion is about multiple interpretations, I think it is
appropriate to post it. Please wait for my next post.

Now, the questions about multiple interpretations still remain the
same.

Has Sri. Narendra failed to convey what he meant by making it
possible for multiple interpretations? Does he really meant to allow
these multiple interpretations?

I am sure want to talk to him if I get a chance and ask him!

I was just scanning through Andhra Bhoomi today and saw this sad and
shocking news item that the great writer NR Nandi is no more. He was
a great writer and I adored his "Maro Mahenjodaro", "Naimisaranyam"
etc.

Here is the link: http://www.andhrabhoomi.net/shead1.html

What pained me more was the way he passed away. He died in utter
poverty, selling milk bags at the age of 80 and he fell into a
drainage canal. May his soul rest in peace, forgiving all of us, who
enjoyed and debated all his works, but not there when he wanted us.

We talk so much about literature in so many forums and spend all our
time in trying to push our own silly opinions on others, argue with
everybody in the world as if our own ideas are the only great ones
and others are not etc. etc., but we do not do anyhing to help great
people like this? Are we, the Telugus, NOT ashamed of ourselves? I
am not talking abojut Racchabanda participantants, but the whole
Telugu community, both in India and outside India.

Sri Sri was right when he said that we recognize our fellow Telugus,
only after they die.

Is it not rather worthwhile to start identifying peole like Sri Nandi
and help them through their difficult times? Our Government does not
care, unless there is some benefit to the politicians. Our Telugu
community is busy arguing whether this communist writer is good or
the dalit writer. We argue on how many stories in a book are written
by a Telangana writer or a Rayalaseema writer or a Visakha writer.
Let us stop this narrow-minded utter nonsense and do something.

Is there anyone in India (Non-political people) who is willing to
start some fund or do something to help these great contributers to
our Telugu literature and other art forms, particularly when they are
in such an unthinkable financial situation? I will send a check, if
somebody can sincerely do something in this regard. Please. Please.
I am sure we can collect a lot of money from all over the globe, but
we need somebody dedicated in India to see that we manage it
properly. It has to reach the right people when they really need it.

Any honest volunteers?

Thanks,

your totally disturbed friend,

Satyam Mandapati
