From the looks of it MSN launched a PK routed page. Offcourse as link is the prefered partner for MSN portal launch in the region, it advertises linkdotnet at the front. However i dont see much different b/w MSN arabia and pk.msn.com.

a little disappointment as i was expecting a content customization towards pakistan and urdu launguage.

Good Day,

Linkdotnet, hmm with the kind of support they have, I wonder how long their marketing team can cope with the technical / post sales glitches...

I tested the site but did not see any results/maps for local points of
interest. MSN could have done better.

I doubt it has actually "launched" yet. Seems all they've done is add "pk.msn.com" and have yet to do anything else. It is still being routed through UK (for the uplinks I tried) and appears to be located in Egypt. Hardly a "local" site.

I believe this is just the first step in launching towards a local MSN portal. Let's not be too harsh on them and wait till it's officially announced.

Yea probably they are looking to add up things.....MSN's Indian portal of http://in.msn.com looked like this even after second month of its launch. This achieved page is of Aug 21st, 2006, and it had nothing much except a localized Advertisement

Its a old news :) M$ is going to award same status to Link Dot Net
(which they have in Egypt). They had plans for BizTalk Services etc..
from Datacenter of LinkDotNet or Mobilink's Farid Farooqi Center.
Fortunately i was with teams back 3 years when they were doing this
planning and visits for datacenters. I still believe it will take
sometime before LinkDotNet have a same footprint like they have in
Egypt.
