Well ... lets see ... Warid has come out with a statement does hold some
worth, but its important to see that they've just offloaded 51% stake in
their African operations. Perhaps, it has gained space and time for the next

Yes, some of the DSL connections in Karachi is down since Thursday,
November 19, 2009 and after knocking all the doors at PTCL my problem
is just now resolved. I was told that it was a small glitch at PTCL
end and my port has been rest and it is working fine.

I think Ex-President Pervez Musharraf was the person behind the launch of
full fledge Telcom Pakistan. He posted Shahzada Alam at PTA, Ovais Leghari
as Telco Minister and Dr Ata-ur Rehman at MOST (Ministry of Science and
Technology). Before his era it was all about Dialup internet which was
