Subject: PTA's Blocking of Political Web Sites
Dear Sirs,
The role of Inter-Ministerial Committee is to block anti-Pakistan, blasphemous, and pornographic web sites only. Blocking of web sites not containing any of such material is highly objectionable. Internet industry deplores this censorship of Internet by the Inter-Ministerial Committee and demand with drawl of these orders.
Kind regards.

Subject: Re: PTCL given a free hand to kill ISPs
Dear Aasif ,
Recently we have been requested by PTA to block the following sites :
a.
http://www.dictatorshipwatch.com/2008/11/08/governer-punjab-salman-taseer-%E2%80%93%-history.html
b.
http://www.dictatorshipwatch.com/2008/11/06/leaders-of-a-nation-half-of-which-sleep-hungry.html
c.
http://www.
dictatorshipwatch.com/taseer/taseer.swf
d.
http://www.makepakistanbetter.com/why_how_what_forum.asp?GroupID=5&Group_title=Pakistan%ArticalID=4297
e.
http://www.friendskorner.com/forum/f137/governer-punjab-salman-taseer-his-family-77872/
f.

Please kindly note that while these have been classified as "harmful for
the integrity of the country " , I don't believe that is the correct
classification. PTA as a regulator should not be involved in pushing or
blocking political agendas and should clearly rise above the political
party favors and bias. I would appreciate if you can discuss this matter
with ISPAK as we feel that the criteria of blocking should be clearly defined
and should not side with any political party.
