Dear members,

I understand that my topic may not directly be pertinent to any on going discussion, but i wanted some opinions about some multiparty conference calling facilities in Pakistan.

Do any of you know of any service/facility to host multi party conference calls locally? I know of services in the US and UK that allow dial ins, but are there any similar services available using local numbers?

we need to have about 10-15 parties to be connected.

My PABX system can do this, but I am limited by the number of PTCL lines at my disposal and also need to control microphones at the user end to reduce the mount of disturbance when a briefing is taking place.

Please feel free to email me off the list if you know of options on this at insp...@gmail.com

Thanks

Imtiaz N.

It should be fairly easy if some telecom org have a PRI from PTCL but
not sure which license it should fall into. Probably you should try
PTCL's own conferencing facility - http://audio.ptcl.net.pk/

Haven't tried it yet as we got our own system but you can go ahead and check.

thanks,
Shakeel

Mobilink Conference Bridge. The best so far in Pakistan. I have been using this service since its inception.

See, i have a problem with mobilink.

My office has connectivity issues and when i complained to mobilink, they asked me to provide 15-20KV of free power to them, so they can set something up at my buildings rooftop.

Now, if i do that, the cost of that power will exceed the cost of billing with maybelink!

Micro sites are required to boost the signals. In building coverage is
an issue with more or less all cell cos and wireless internet
providers.

Salam,

If there is a commercially viable demand, We can do this for you in Pakistan.

However I would suggest to use the US and UK lines since the calls to us are not so
expencive or best of all is to use skype.

Dear Imtiaz

Where are you based? Here in Islamabad we (Nayatel) have been providing this facility to our telephony customers for quite some time. Each of our audio conference room can accommodate up to 50 participants. However, beyond a certain number it gets confusing and difficult to control.

We provide a 051 land line number and a pin code that you can circulate in advance. For details pls visit
