Subject: "Repeat" mode in the TourGuide
Hello,

There may be a combination of options that can allow this, but I
haven't found this so far. Basically the problem is as follows: I
finish a quest guide, so I have all the quest done and objectives
fullfilled. Next, I want to run this guide again with a friend. He has
the addon, and can follow it directions, but the problem is, that
since I've already done the guide it's now completely botched for me.
I want to be able to track his progress by manually checking the
items, so that I have the crazy arrow that always shows me the current
objective.

Now what happens in reality is that if I try to re-run the guide I
can't check/uncheck objectives one by one. When I check one several
other get checked automatically and when I uncheck those, the original
one gets unchecked too, this is really frustrating. We ended up with
him sending me TomTom waypoints via "Send Waypoint to Party" and this
is how I get my arrow, but depending on him to do this is annoying.

So what I'm asking is, is this possible to switch to a mode when the
objectives are independent and you can check and uncheck them as you
wish and have the arrow to show you the current objective coords?

Cheers,
Andrew

TG is not designed to work that way, it has to track quests using the quest
log.  If he's running TG and TomTom, why not just have him lead and you
follow?

Thank you for the prompt reply, Tekkub. Yes, this is what we are
doing, he leads and I follow.
It's just sometimes it's inconvinient, like he need to go to a
restroom and he puts me on follow and I don't know where to go. It's
all solvable with the send waypoint to party from TomTom as I
mentioned below, but I thought that *doing less* in the TourGuide
should be simpler then what it is now.

I'm not trying to pressure you in doing something, just out of sheer
curiosirty, technically, is it possible and is it simple to have a
mode when you basically consider every item in the list a note (N) and
that's it. Would it work? If you think that it would and it's
relatively simple, I might just hack my local version of you mod to
add this posibility.

Andrew.

It would require a major rewrite of the quest tracker to get this to work,
and it's really an edge case that very few people have needed, so it's not
really been worth the time to implement.
A simpler approach would be to make an automatic waypoint share mode in
TomTom... you add a WP, it's sent to the party, etc.
