VR Stepper as just a stepper?

I know this may be heresy, but is there a way to have the stepper come
up with just a 'stepper program' that I can use? I use the various
games a lot, but sometimes I just want to watch tv and get a 'pre-
programmed' workout. I thought at one point I had a screen that
showed the 'blue bars' of a programmed workout, but was never able to
get it again. Any ideas?

I have the same issue, but with the bike model. There ae times I just
want to pedal and read not focus on the interactive program. Did you
get any responses with this?
