i think its not gud to determine lap by da the brand..cz sumtime
better brands release worst models. so u better check some reviews on
net regarding the model..

It is not a core 2 duo. It is a core i3 370M with 2GB RAM. But the
problem is it is a refurbish laptop.

oh is it, few weeks back one of my friends got one that was on offer
for uni student, but that was a core2duo and new. have to check the
model then.
if its refurbish, dont buy it :)

yeah true, but acer n refurbish n metropolitan dont go to gether, if
theres a one year gurentee, it might be ok but from my experience acer
dont last that long :) but its wroth the price

I'm in Kandy and hopping to buy it from Digital House. I checked
around and found out that they are authorized resellers for dell
(Softlogic). Is it ok to buy it from a reseller rather than form the
dealer as they offer a good price for the laptop?

not all Acer s. my god. I'm also using a Acer.
what I said was those laps offered in the promotion is company refurbished ones. I had a chance to install OS to a one which was issued in Japura uni. the sticker "Refubrished" was there.
that is why I said so. apart from that I do not have any official source on that matter.

Several students bought 4 of them from Colombo metropolitan and they
were told that they are refurbished ones before they buy it. But to me
they just told they are brand new. That's is why decide not to buy
it.
