Broadcasting ක්‍රමයකට සිදු කිරීමට යන බවට කතාවක් තිබෙනවා මේක ඇත්තක්ද?
මෙසේ වුවහොත් දැනට භාවිතවන රූපවාහිනී යන්ත්‍ර ඉවත් කිරීමට සිදුවෙයිද?

හරියටම දන්නේ නැ, නමුත් යාපනයේ මෙය ආරම්බ කරනවා කියලා තමයි කියනේ. DVB-T2
තමයි ක්‍රමය. දැනට කොලබනම් Dialog test DVB-T එකක් කරනවා.

පරණ TV වලින් Digital බලන්න බෑ. නමුත් තව ගොඩක් කල් යනකන් Digital හා
Analog ක්‍රම දෙකෙන්ම සමගාමී විකාෂනය කරයි. පසුව පරණ TV වලට Digital to
Analog පරිවතරනය කරන්න STB එකක් ගන්න වෙයි.

මම දන්න විදිහට  DVB-T2 තමයි අපේ රටට ගැලපෙනව කියලා තීරණය කරල තිබුනේ.දැනට ලෝකයේ වැඩිම penetration එකක් තියෙන්නේ  DVB-T2 .එක නිසා අවශ්‍ය උපකරණ ගන්න කොට හොඳ තෝරාගැනීමක් කරන්න පුළුවන්.නමුත් ජපාන තාක්ෂණයක් වන  ISDB – Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting හා චීන තාක්ෂණයක් වනDTMB – Digital Television Broadcasting System ගත්තොත් අපිට ඒ රටවල් මත යැපෙන්න සිදු වෙනවා.ආරංචිය හැටියට මේ දෙගොල්ලොත් try  කරනවා 

ISDB හා DTMB අපේ ඇඟේ  ගහන්න.අපේ අයගේ කොමිස් ගැහිල්ලට වෙන technology  එකක් එන්නත් ඉඩ තියෙනවා.

අලුත් TV එකක ඩිජිටල් කියලා තිබුනට ඒක DVB-T2 සපෝට් කරනවමද කියලා දැනගන්න විදිහක් තියනවද?

එහෙම නැත්ත්නම් ඉස්සරහට DVB-T2 දුන්නත් ඒකේ පේන්නේ නැද්ද?

උදාහරණයක් විදිහට මගේ TV එකේ තියෙන්නේ "ATSC" කියලා විතරයි.

DVB-T2 has been testing for few years by Dialog, even now you can get few channels on Dialog test transmissions.

almost all the TV studios are ready for DVB as most now run on Digital, CSN like channels run almost all digital except transmission. almost all now store there data in digital formats not only hiru, hirus was just messing with HD TV nosecones. TV Lanka is already using DVB-T to broadcast encrypted channels using a STB for a really cheap price. 

so if your buying a TV, buy it with DVB, ATSC will not working in SL. TRC has alredy select DVB, as we always select what UK selects, so its DVB-T2

 

kokawil tower is already DVB-T2 

but the sad thing is, even if all the channels used DVB-T2, it wont be much of a deference then any DialogTV or PeoTV as all will be SD, but options like EPG, and having multiple channels on one frequency will be the only benefit. also switching to DVB will make people who are on the edge of the transmission ares who can view analg broadcasting to loose reception as Digital transmission need high power signals.

usually DVB T2 can transmit 8 or 9 SD channels or 3 or 4 HD channels per Carrier DVB T uses Mpeg 2 for video compression and DVB T2 uses Mpeg 4 part 10 (or H.264 ). that's why  DVB T2 can transmit more channel than DVB T.now already ITU has develop another powerful compression called HEVC (Mpeg5 from ISO).the compression is very powerful and capable of 50% bandwidth reduction than previous H.264.this caused to more channel can fit into single carrier.broadcast quality video data rate below 1 mbps or acceptable quality video around 512Kbps not a dream any more.on the other hand increase of  digital dividend (more anolog p channels freed up due to increase of no.of channels per single carrier) for digital broadcasting.
