ubudsl හා Ubuntu 9.04

Ubuntu අලුත්ම අනුවාදය 9.04 සඳහා වැඩකරන ubudsl අනුවාදයක් නැද්ද?
මගේ මිතුරෙක් උබුන්ටු අප්ඩේට් කිරීමෙන් පසු ඔහුගේ adsl modem එක වැඩ හඳුනා නොගනී.

1. insert ubuntu cd & type these lines by line in terminal (copy & paste)

sudo apt-cdrom add

sudo apt-get install build-essential

2. download this

for i386
-----------

for amd64
--------------

https://launchpad.net/~adrian5632/+archive/ppa/+files/ubudsl_1.0.0.277-5hardy_amd64.deb


3. install it(then machine will be stuck dont worry, restart it, turn off--> turn on ;) )

4.boot your pc using recovery mode.

select option "dkpg          Repair Broken Packages"

press enter
reboot again pressing(Ctrl+Alt+Delete)
boot ubuntu using normal mode (default selection)

5. press Alt + F2 & type

gksu gedit /usr/share/ubudsl/configs/system.ini


add these lines to the file, save & close

[Ubuntu_9.04]
package_manager=apt
basic_from_cd=
devel_from_cd=build-essential

6. config the modem. (http://www.ubudsl.com/en/instruction.php)

7.open terminal type these lines line by line (copy & paste)

sudo update-rc.d -f ubudsld remove

sudo update-rc.d ubudsld defaults

8.press Alt + F2 & type

gksu gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst

find this section

focus into bold line

kernel        /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.28-11-generic root=UUID=92d7c77a-ace2-412a-b84f-5649686b56af ro quiet splash

change splash to nosplash then it will be like this

kernel        /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.28-11-generic root=UUID=92d7c77a-ace2-412a-b84f-5649686b56af ro quiet nosplash

save & close restart

9.goto Applications-->Internet-->UbuDSL Applet. It will work :)

10. ok no more steps. in this method u cant see ubuntu loading screen(progress bar) bcoz ubudsl will not work with it.

if anyone come up with solution for it let me know.

ill write this on my blog when im free.(may be after june :) ).
