TALO ( Teach and Learn Online ) is a network of people interested in all things eLearning, flexible delivery, online education, networked learning, and web 2.0.TALO operates beyond the Australian Flexible Learning Framework, ( indeed its participant list has become international ) and its participants often explore technologies, practices and ideas that have yet to take hold in the educational establishment. - its a "think-tank" with a broad focus on technology and learning. The TALO unconference is a conference where the participants set the agenda - its is a small gathering where participants get to present, engage, and learn from the other participants. Some participants have indicated that they would like to present: -Rose Grozdanic, Peter Shanks, and the other participants in the project will be presenting : a 2007 newpractices project where competency documentation from the NTIS is used to automatically create elearning frameworks ( moodle, wiki etc) and to also create tools that help develop learning objects related to the competency frameworks generated. ( http://tpu.bluemountains.net )Michael coghlan will be facilitating a discussion on " Does new technologies mean new learning ? "Peter Allen will be presenting " ...the use of hosted websites with domain names, CMS, and other open source tools could be used by a teacher to create an online educational e-portfolio, and these skills and techniques are similar to the solution that small business would like to employ to create their own online presence"
