"Though heavily promoted by Japan's tourist industry, especially with
the millions of dollars devoted to the Yokoso! Japan campaign aiming to
make the country a tourism superpower, Kyoto falls far short of what
tourists are looking for, judging by the survey of the weekly's
readers.
A distant second in the Worst 10 list of Japanese tourist destinations
people never want to visit again is Tokyo Disneyland, slammed for a
number of reasons.
"It's always too crowded, and you've got to wait for hours for
anything," one reader gripes to Flash.
"There's nothing magical or dreamlike about it," another says, digging
the knife into the self-billed Kingdom of Magic and Dreams..." -
