If anyone is interested, especially in a financially supporting kind of
way, there is a compact yet quite capable lathe on auction tomorrow
morning that some of us plan to bid on and purchase for TCMaker.

it will likely cost $1000 or more, we'd appreciate your support
It is a 12.5" x 20" working envelope
It is built like a tank, in Ohio, in 1941, and weighs about 3000 lbs
Why, Karl would like to teach classes, but wants a beefier lathe,
bigger projects need a bigger swing this one is double that of the
existing lathes, bigger projects, and better quality require more mass,
and horsepower, this is that.
Surely you have the approval of the
shop managers, not exactly, Tony has been copied on all discussions, but
we haven't heard from him. I'll send this to Jeff as well, but he'll
complain anyway.
Why this lathe, cause it's so damn cool, don't believe me check out these nicely refurbed examples.
