First of all, I really enjoy using TaskPaper. But yesterday tried to create a new "file" to track latest chaos, and everything was going along swimmingly until I flipped to another related file in TP. When I came back some of the tasks were gone. By really early this morning I realized my iOS needed updating to 5.1.1. So I did that thinking my version of TP was old because it was stuck at the version compatible with 5.1. I set up for Dropbox, which I had not done before (used to use your .ws sync server) and backed up my DB. Then deleted TP and re-installed. went back in to play with files by adding tasks like "does it work now?" and flipping around. It does not work now...
Still dropping a majority of new tasks on pre-existing files. Will do some more research as I am pulling a graveyard shift.
This is still occuring and still unaddressed. I am in iOS 5.1.1 using version 2.1. I can create a new doc and put in some task entries, switch docs within taskpaper, come back to the new doc and tasks are lost. This is really making me unwilling to continue to use a program I previously could not live without...
Thanks in advance for taking a look under the hood,

Could you try this?
1. Make an edit in TaskPaper-iOS
2. Tap the document's title and select "Sync All Now"
3. Once it's finished, head over to Dropbox's website and check the events page (https://www.dropbox.com/events). Does the sync event show up there?
If so, then running in reverse, does switching to another document and then back again create a second sync event? If the document is all synced up properly, then it shouldn't (until you make another edit).
One way I can reproduce this on my end is to make sure I'm on a very slow network (spotty 3G, for example, or use a network conditioner to artificially slow down my connection), open the app, and then make several edits without closing the keyboard before sync has finished (with external changes needing to be synced in and not given the chance to do so).
Another way to check to see if sync the culprit or not: Turn off automatic sync from the Dropbox settings page, and then see if edits are being lost between document switches.
I'd also recommend a delete/reinstall just in case… that shakes out any issues caused by bad updates over time. A general measure, but surprisingly reliable. Sorry if that was mentioned anywhere before.

This re-install worked; the first parts did not. I have not re-enabled
Dropbox synch yet...
I am hoping that does not break anything!
Will let you know either way.
