*** Missing Profiles ***

Usually this occurs because the profiles have been moved from the
previous 'user tabs' into the new 'project tabs' (tasks and scenes can
also be grouped in project tabs).

You can access the project tabs by:

1) Making sure Menu / Prefs / UI / Beginner Mode is unchecked
2) On the main screen, drag down through the faded arrow just under
the top tabs

*** Import ***

To import a profile, long-click on the top Profiles tab (not an actual
profile). Similarly for a task, long-click the Tasks tab.

*** Dragging Items ***

Dragging is now done by click-and-immediately-dragging on the right
hand side of list items. You can drag to reposition in the list, to
delete or to refile into a different project.

For more information on the new layout and controls, see Menu / Info /
Help: This Screen

Pent,

Any way that you can just make Tasker load everything in the profiles,
tasks, and scenes folders? It seems that this isn't very intuitive to
a lot of people.

What do you mean, exactly ?

Let's say you want to import someone's profile, instead of having to
put a copy in the /sdcard/Tasker/Profiles and then "import it", let
tasker scan the directory on startup and load all profiles in there.

So basically, getting rid of this step:

> To import a profile, long-click on the top Profiles tab (not an actual
> profile). Similarly for a task, long-click the Tasks tab.

Maybe I am missing something that you had in mind for making the load
a manual step?

Ah. It doesn't do that now because people use the export dir also
as a kind of individual backup method.

At some point there'll be an auto-import dir and anything in there
will be imported when the UI is run and results shown in a dialog.

I don't know what you mean by 'auto-import folder'. Could you describe
what it would do ?

Thanks,
