There aren't many changes, but I'm releasing this as a beta first on a
you-can-never-be-too-careful basis.

It's because you don't have the Google Apps framework installed,
specifically the maps library and framework.

There are a lot of threads on the forum about it, try a search.

Thank you! This finally recognizes root capability on my device.

I just updated from Tasker.1.3.3u2m.apk

I have a moto droid 4 running 2.3.6. Rooted
Version 1.6u1m

The key guard on/off action in secure settings has always worked in
the past versions.. It no longer works in 1.6u1m

I have tried to reinstall twice and rebooted..

Is it being run ? (check Menu / More / Run Log)

What if you run it directly via Menu / More / Run An Action (if that
works with plugins, can't remember)

Yes, I checked the run log... it is being run with no other tasks interfering or resetting.

It does not work with 'run an action' and other secure settings action do work with 'run an action'

However.... I went back to Tasker.1.3.3u2m and now it is not working with that either....  it seems to work once or twice then not work.    This is a new profile I was trying to make but I have used this secure settings action in the past and "thought" it worked..

I will do some more testing on my end and get back to you...

Sorry for the false alarm...       Rich..

Seems to be a error on my part... :(

It does work now in 1.6u1 and. 1.3.3u2 with the simple work around of turning key guard on first then turn key guard off.

Thanks Pent......
