Galaxy S4 IR blaster + Tasker

I plan on purchasing the galaxy s4 (i9500) within the next few months and I already have handful of new ideas for profiles to create. The only problem seems to be finding an app that will allow shortcuts or even a plugin to be used by Tasker.
There is one coming out by touchsquid this week, but at $49 I find the price a bit excessive. Not to mention who knows if they will support Tasker.
Anyone know of any alternatives, or already have a project of their own planned?
