Hi all,

Have a quick query - I set up a Night profile that runs from 22:00 until 7:00. It would appear that most mornings (certainly this morning), that the Night profile doesn't switch off at 7:00 - I was at the station at 7:38 and Night was still active. I had to disable Tasker, then renable it and it immediately switched to the correct profile (Travel Mornings - which should have kicked in at 7:30am).

I reboot my phone nightly at 3am - could this be messing something up perhaps ?

D!

Hmm, somehow the alarm got lost apparently if you're sure the profile
was still active (you looked at the permanent notification I guess ?)

Could you maybe make a log at 7.01 ? There are details in makealog.txt
in the Files section of this forum (link right margin) so I can see if
the alarm went off ?

Shouldn't, when the monitor starts up it should set the new alarm.

Yeah it was the permanent notification (I noticed it wasn't in SilentMode and the wallpaper hadn't changed, so checked the notification and it still said Night, then opened Tasker and only Night was highlighted).

OK, will have a read up :)

OK, good to know at least!

Just an info: if you want to catch logcat output for a longer time AND
your phone is rooted, you can use system logcat application. Once you
install Gscript, you can run a line like this:
logcat > /sdcard/logs/`date +%Y%m%d_%H%M.txt` &

and this should start logging everything until reboot/killing the
process.

This way you're no longer limited with the alogcat short window of
logging.
Disclaimer: continous logging may have inpact on the battery life -
keep that in mind.

A.

Hi Bossman,

Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately I was asleep this morning so missed the 7.01 time slot :) It was still in Night mode at 7:38 again though, so it seems reproducible.

I will create a new overnight timer that switches at a more reasonable hour so I have more chance of catching it this weekend!
