Nothing seems to happen when screen locks

I have made the Lifehacker-suggested silent-on-screen-face-down thing.
But it works only if screen is unlocked. My screen locks after a
minute.

I got Tasker from Market. Am I safe installing versions from the
Tasker website?

If you install a version from the website you'll end up with two
installations of Tasker. If you want to try beta versions, use links
from the sticky thread titled "Marked users" or sth similar on this
group.
