LA college server" -- although the server is in San Diego, not LA, and web
sites have nothing to do with the usenet. The site in question is a web site
that deals with cults, Sai Baba's cult being one of them. The person who is
responsible for bringing about this site is Dr. David Lane. This site
contains my experience with Baba -- including details on the sexual
harrassment --, another ex-devotee's experience -- including sexual
harrassment -- and other info and discussions on Baba. Here is what byghosh

I wish to bring to the notice of the entire net community everywhere the
existence of a homophobic webpage, which as a man of colour of Indian origin
and as a homosexual I find intolerably offensive.

discussion about Sathya Sai Baba, who he is, what he is etc. but rather about

His attitudes which are given a platform paid for by the taxpayers of
California.

We had some discussions about this message which you can check out on
Dejanews. Soon after, the web site that is maintained by Dr. David Lane was
down. I wrote to him and found out that some Sai devotees -- or
personalities such as byghosh, prema1 -- have been fighting to remove Dr.
Lane's web site altogether and they finally removed him from the ucsd server.
But one thing that is in abundance is other servers and ISPs and so Dr.
Lane's web site is now located at http://www.mtsac.edu/~dlane/point4.html
But my problem with this is not so much the pressure that the Sai devotees
put on Dr. Lane and the fact that they cannot stand criticism of Baba, my
problem is actually with this byghosh person(ality). He seems to be a
pathological liar, one day he is gay, and the next day he is another person,
and so on and so forth. Does he think that everyone is his age and he is
able to fool everyone in order to get what he wants? What I want to do is to
find out what I can do in order to teach this kid a much needed lesson. I am

I found out that the IP he posts from, using Hotmail, is registered to
IBM Netherlands. Probably we should complain to IBM Netherlands and see what
they can do about it....:)
They surely would be happy to know they have a baba follower amongst them....

Well Rik most of us Sai Baba devotees are in R+D, although some are in
security. We can do pretty much as we wish, come late, leave late. We use
each others passwords (the passwords are held in common) and take turns
posting, when we have a little time, it's very boring!... but "many hands
make light work", or so they say. There are quite a few of us in IBM in
different parts of the world although all the traffic comes out of tulipland.
The computer business is filled with Indians and their friends and quite a
few are Sai devotees... or their favorite "aunty" is. Hope this is helpful.
