anyway, yes, some public schools seem to
turn out adequate test scores, but, for
some reason, the president is not sending a signal
that public school, in general, is good enough
for his children.

anyway, i was running the;
"public schools not good enough" angle there.
whether some public schools or some aspects
of some public schools are 'adequate'
is not the issue, some may be and some may not be,
as some people have issue with public schools in general
as if certain freedoms have been eroded and replaced with
some sort of public indoctrinational aspects.
in the case of the president not sending his children to public schools,
it doesn't bode well for the wellness of public institutions.
if public schools are not good enough,
why should public hospitals be any better?
and, in fact, D.C. had a public hospital
which has been sunmmarily shut down.
